September 2025 Challenge
No one says it out loud, but somewhere deep down we all feel it.
Not the fear of failing, or even traffic. It is the fear of not finishing. Of the legs giving out. Of the heart saying no. Or of watching the group pulling away and knowing you can’t catch up.
It doesn’t matter if you are 25 or 65. Every ride holds a silent whisper, “What if I don’t make it?”
But that’s the beauty of cycling, isn’t it? We get up and go anyway. We ride through the fear. And somehow, mile after mile, we find ourselves again.
Maybe the finish line was never the point. Maybe it’s trying that keeps us whole.

Thank You!
My goals for September 2025 were to ride 660 miles and raise $66,000. On the money side, we made it! With the matching gifts, we are currently at $83,889. This is great, and I am very happy. Thank you! On the miles side, I currently need 10 miles to hit the goal and am sitting at a Starbucks 30 miles from my house. Baring a a catastrophe, I should make it!
“Option A is Never Coming Back”
About 2 months ago I was asked to do an interview about my cancer journey. It was a nice 45 minute conversation. I thought my story would be part of a larger article, so I did not give it much thought. Turns out I was the article! Suzanne Mooney, the author, did a great job summarizing my last 2+ years. I’ve been trying to find a way to communicate “Option A is NEVER coming back,” but everything I tried fell short. Suzanne nailed it. If you’re curious, please check out the article.
Bone Marrow Biopsy Prep
I got 24 miles in before work and before my Bone Marrow Biopsy today. Not enough votes to live stream it, but I will get some non-gory pictures!

Dana Farber - Pan Mass Challenge
Dana Farber is one of the top multiple myeloma centers of excellence in the world. Through this organization we found a doctor that looked at my specific genetics and discovered a huge flaw in the standard stem cell treatment regimen. Their fundraising arm, the Pan Mass Challenge, has raised over $1 billion dollars for cancer research of all different kinds. Curing any of them leads to curing them all.

HealthTree Foundation
I am proud to be a Cure Contributor by fundraising for the HealthTree Foundation and fueling the search for cures for blood cancer, faster!
