Farmer Jeff?

My dad has been a blueberry farmer for 40ish years. My brother has been a sheep rancher for 20ish years. One of my sons has grown cannabis for 10ish years. My wife has had a garden on and off for 8ish years. I have never grown anything someone could eat in my life. Until last week.

What you see here is my first harvest of broccoli sprouts. I took a quarter cup of seeds and turned them into a heaping pile of sprouts in days. A lot less time than blueberries, lambs, tomatoes, or weed. Ha!

Why? Well I have a personal and business philosophy that everything should be outsourced unless: it is proprietary, cannot find a reliable vendor, or cannot make any money. In this case I could not find a reliable vendor.

With broccoli sprouts being the #1 thing I can eat (just ahead of Turmeric) to help fight many diseases (including cancer), I want to eat them with almost every meal. The grocery stores and food co-ops were just not consistent enough. Now I can make a huge plate of sprouts every 6 days. Enough for both Jeri and I. And Farmer Jeff is born. Ha!

(Lentil seeds are on the way. I may need a bigger laundry room.)
