Stone Walls & Starbucks

Did a little wondering. Found our first and only Starbucks of the trip.

It just so happens that this Starbucks is very close to (maybe exactly) where the Mayflower left Southampton, England on August 14, 1620. It took them 10 weeks to get to North America. (We got here in 9 days!)

Along with our strolling we also found the Westgate fortifications. There were built in 1338. Almost 300 years BEFORE the pilgrims left. And Jeri and I walked on top of the ramparts. Wow!

So with all that history, what do I take a picture of? Yep this Starbucks, Jeri and me. Hey, the people who built the fort or left on the Mayflower won’t care! But boy would they be surprised at what this place looks like now.
