Day 18 - September 12, 2026
Route $66,000 - Arizona & New Mexico
The final day. It went well. Packed all our stuff before we left the RV camp. Jeri found another Route 66 dinner for breakfast. Then we hit the road.
We only made one other Route 66 stop. American Giants Museum in Atlanta, IL. What a cool thing one individual has done for a town. He took his hobby and is starting to revive a town. It was pretty cool.
Then we switched the van for our car in Chicago and drove home. It feels weird to be home. There is so much space. And the bathroom and shower do not require putting on sandals and a t-shirt. I guess I could do all that, walk to the mail box and back, and then do my business. But I won’t. Ha!
It was a great trip. Home is good. And I am looking forward to the next adventure.
