3 Years And (Almost) A Lifetime Ago

Thee years! It was January 17, 2023 while sitting in the parking lot of the Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, KY that it was confirmed that my broken T4 was due to a tumor AND that my MSpike was 1.4 (supposed to be zero). That almost seems like a lifetime ago. ALMOST!

In these 3 years I have built a small collection of T-shirts with motivational sayings. There is one I have put in my shopping cart a dozen times and then taken it out. It is a black shirt with “I’m Not Dead Yet” on the front. What do you think? Too soon? To make sensitive to others?

There is also a bicycle jersey that has hung in my closet since Christmas of 2022. (3 weeks before I found out). It is a replica of a crew person’s uniform on the Starship Enterprise from the 1970’s. It is red and it says “I May Not Make It”. I really want to wear it. For anyone who is a Trekkie? It is funny as heck. Again, too soon and insensitive?

I am doing very well. I am by no means out of the woods, but with Multiple Myeloma one is never out of the woods. Currently my only observable connection to cancer is the handful of medicine and supplements I take in the morning and evening and my treatment every other Monday. I am super lucky and super blessed.

SHINE!

PS I am interested in what you think about the T-shirt and Star Trek jersey. Would you let me know?
