It CAN be done!
It CAN be done!
This week I got to experience Vero Orthopedics again. And they are fantastic. Everyone in this organization is “moving”. If there is anyone waiting for more than 30 seconds, someone from the staff asks if they can help.
I walked in without an appointment on Thursday morning. Within 20 minutes they had taken X-rays and I was looking at them. Friday—18 hours later—I was in an MRI. I will get the results at 5 pm on Monday. (And it is only this late because I have treatment on Monday that I could not move.)
Vero Orthopedics has been a physician-owned operation for the last 50 years. Absolutely the best medical facility I have ever been in. Wow! I think if I need orthopedic work in the future I will come down to Florida to have it done here.
SHINE!

P.S. You may be wondering why I needed an MRI. The super short version: Due to sore back muscles that were NOT connected to any physical activity, I was sure that my broken T4 had moved. The x-ray confirmed that it has, in fact, completely collapsed. This vertebrae is the one that had my cancer tumor. The tumor went away with treatment, but left 40-60% of the vertebrae missing. My muscles around it held it up for the last 3 years. No more. Ha!
I have no back pain or nerve issues. It just feels like I have been doing lat pull downs all day. The muscles are once again adjusting to a weak section of my back. Amazing. The MRI will give us a better picture of the movement. Likely the result will be no action required, but I just want to make sure nothing is getting closer to my spinal cord.
