Fighting the Good Fight

I’ve had a slight set back with my health. While all the results from the restaging are coming back good, I decided to throw in a little COVID to change up the pace. I had a sore throat and slight fever on Sunday, so I took two tests (from two different boxes) and both came back positive. Yeah!

To beat it as fast as possible, this is what my bathroom counter looks like for the duration.

Starting at the bottom of the picture:
* Pill Case - This is out every night. Contains all my cancer pills, vitamins, and supplements. Almost can skip a meal. (But I do not. Ha!)
* Retainer Case - Because of the Zometa (bone strengthener) I need to be extra careful with my teeth. They will eventually be “welded” to my jaw. So I do a fluoride treatment every night.
* Airborne - to make sure I don’t catch anything else.
* Vicks Vapor Rub - To help me breath without nasal spray
* Nasal spray - I use at night if I need it or not. Ha!
* Clorox Wipes - To make sure I do not pass this crap to Jeri.
* NyQuil - Two before bed
*Mucinex - One at night and one in the morning
* Vicks Vapo Bomb - Good excuse to stand in the shower for an extra 8 minutes.
* Paxlivid - COVID prescription
* DayQuil - Two at lunch time

And that is it. Hope I kick this before I need to travel again. If not, I’ll need another suitcase.

PS I am feeling pretty good. Fever was only Sunday night. Monday and Tuesday was basically a cough and congestion. I did have to postpone treatment for a week. But both oncologists said this was not a problem. They are not, however, the ones that have a few rogue cells trying to grab a foothold. So while no treatment, I am doing my cold tub every day to freeze the little bastards out. 😇
