New Road ID

I spent the last week riding outside with my new Road ID. I have worn a Road ID for a couple decades. For the first 10 years it was just an ankle strap that had my wife, dad, and brother’s name and phone number on it. While I still wear that one every ride, about 10 years ago I also included a wrist bracelet that I wear whenever I’m awake. For a while it had a yellow band and more recently it has been black.

This NEW Road ID comes with an added bonus (at no extra cost to us users). It has a medical alert highlight. It still has the phone numbers of my wife and dad (cut my brother because there was not room and he rarely answers his phone on the first call - ha!). In addition it has an “800” number for emergency people to call. When they call and key in my serial number, they will get my medical information.

With just Multiple Myeloma I do not need any special treatment, but with all the medicines I take they have to be careful with drug interactions. My Road ID profile includes all my medications and supplements. This is so cool and quite a relief for me.

In the 20 years I have had a Road ID, it has never been used. I hope to go another 20 with the same result. But if it is ever needed, it is here. COOL!

SHINE!
