SHOW ME THE MONEEEEY!

Yesterday was the start of a “medical” week. All of it is “normal”. Monday, treatment. Wednesday, bone marrow biopsy. Thursday, PET scan. This is my 6 month check up. And even though it is normal and there is nothing to even remotely suggest a negative change, I am still nervous about it.

This past weekend was NOT helpful. It was a beautiful, warm, fall weekend. I did long bike rides on both Saturday and Sunday. I got lots of stuff done. BUT I was tired 100% of the time. I was not sleeping well and had to push for myself everything. This is not usual for me.

Knowing I needed to get my “mind right” (Cool Hand Luke), I wore the brightest shirt I have for treatment. I do not know if it was the shirt, a full night’s sleep, divine intervention, or all of the above, but it worked. I had a great day yesterday. I had to push myself on nothing. AND my nurse Karley got the IV in with the first poke. Yeah!

So now I am going to shamelessly ask for money. Ha!

I need more donations (I am doing fine on the bike miles.) And what better week to ask for it than a time I am going to get poked (treatment), drilled (bone marrow biopsy), and radiated (PET scan).

How about this: when you donate today let me know, ‘yes or no’ to live streaming my biopsy tomorrow. Ha! (Jeri will hate this. So she can get her own crew to vote no.) Any donation counts to any of the three organizations. SHOW ME THE MONEY and I will show you the drill!

SHINE!
