Wow! What a great book. Of the 22 books I have read this year. This is for sure my favorite. (yes, of course I keep track). Four Winds by Kristen Hannah was pretty close. But this one edged it out.

I received it from a friend for my birthday. I moved it to the top of my queue because it was from a friend and for my birthday. Super glad I did.

The book follows the life of an elephant for 50+ years. It is told from the perspective of the elephant, his elephant family, and his human family. The author does a great job blending the three.

It is a pretty quick read I highly recommend.
