Jeri and I have been to Boston 6-7 times in the last 3 years. Every time I have visiting the USS Constitution on my list. It has never worked out.

Last year we scheduled a trip with my parents. Surely we would see this old ship then. So, I bought this book and started going through it. But the first government shut down closed the ship AND we got worried about air traffic control. We bailed.

Now for 2026 I have 2 trips scheduled in June. Surely one of those times will work out. Time to finish this book.

What I found amazing (that I did not know) is how many times the USS Constitution was left to rot in its 200+ year history. At least 4 times the ship was about to become fire wood, but the public saved it. Wow! Now it is the oldest, floating, commissioned war ship in the world. It was a fascinating book.
