The Best Bachelor Party. Ever.

I’m currently back up at 30,000’ on my way home. Usually, I am ready to go from almost any trip and get back into the rat race. (I kind of like the rat race.) Today, however, I feel a little bit lonely.

It was a great weekend celebrating Cole’s upcoming wedding. This was for sure the best bachelor “party” (weekend) I have ever been to. Sure we had a nice hotel, got to see the Hoover Dam, ate some good food, lost a little money, and had great weather. This was all nice, but it was this group of guys that I feel a little sad about leaving.

What a great group. All with different strengths, likes, and routines. I would be hard pressed to put together on purpose a more diverse (in thought) group of guys. Yet, for this weekend, we all got along and none of us was ever alone, unless we wanted to be. Everyone was so considerate, there were times it was tough to make a decision. But in the end one of us always stepped up, made a decision, and off we went.

I heard some rumblings yesterday about getting together a year from now with the same group. I would give my eye teeth to have that happen. Not to recreate this weekend, but to do another one with these guys.

SHINE!
The Road Rider (AKA: Jeff, Dad, Mr Mulder)

PS Only been to one other Bachelor party—my brother’s. It was only one night but we did get a couple memorable stories from it. It was good, but not as cool as this past weekend.
