Play it “Safe” or take a little “Risk”?

Touched 160 beats per minute for the first time in 4 months. Felt really good (although I did not stay there long). It has been 12 days since my last cancer medication. My body has recovered faster with this break than it did with the last one. Seems weird to take a body that is feeling really good and drive it to its knees which is what the Stem Cell Transplant will do in September. That is IF I do it. Jeri and I have been talking to Dr Richardson at Dana Farber and he has recommended a different path. It is contrary to all the other experts but delays or eliminates the high dose Melphalan. I won’t be able to ride at 160bpm, but I also won’t have to live in a bubble for 6 months. If it does not work, then I spend the summer of 2024 in that bubble. If it works, we are going on a cruise in the fall of 2024 (or something else to celebrate). Jeri and I are 90% there. We have a few more “I’s” to dot and “T’s” to cross and should make a final decision next week. For now I feel great and completely plan to hit 160bpm again tomorrow. SHINE!
