I Ride For: Nancy

It was not hot in Florida while I rode for Nancy, but it was warmer than any place else in the continental United States. It was actually warmer in my home state of Michigan than it was in Georgia, Tennessee, and Mississippi. Very unpredictable these days.

Like all cancer warriors, Nancy’s life is unpredictable. Unfortunately she has gotten an extra dose of unpredictability with the loss of her husband a year ago. With kids at home and a business to run, she has no time to relax and let someone else carry the load for even a day. So much of the fight with cancer is built up with our support people. They get very little credit, but are such a help. I can only imagine Nancy’s life when she has to fight on more than one front.

Nancy, I did 100% of this flag over 3 days in Florida. I came down to visit my parents and got to ride one of these days with my Dad. It was nice to be outside, even if it was not warm. As I rode I prayed that you are able to find a day or an hour or even a minute to find your own time away from cancer, business, and kids. I don’t know how to help someone else find this, so hopefully the praying will be enough.
